Ingredients
Scale
- 1 premade pie crust
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
- 2 cups creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1/2 cup crushed peanuts
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
- Mini peanut butter cups and caramel drizzle for garnish
Instructions
- Start your decadent journey by melting one cup of milk chocolate chips along with one tablespoon of vegetable shortening. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each session until smooth. Spread into the bottom of the premade pie crust and refrigerate until set.
- In a mixing bowl, combine creamy peanut butter, confectioners’ sugar, crushed peanuts, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth. Gently fold in whipped heavy cream.
- Once the chocolate layer has set, pour the peanut butter mixture over it. Melt remaining chocolate chips with another tablespoon of shortening in the microwave, drizzle over the peanut butter layer, and garnish with mini peanut butter cups and caramel drizzle. Refrigerate for at least two hours.
Notes
Be patient when melting chocolate; constant stirring will ensure smooth results. If you’re short on time, substitute whipped cream with a pre-made whipped topping.
