- ¼ cup sliced pepperoncini (optional)
- ¼ lb turkey ham, thinly sliced
- ¼ lb mortadella, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 cup olive salad (store-bought or homemade)
- ¼ lb provolone cheese, sliced
- 1 large round Italian bread loaf (about 10 inches)
- ¼ lb beef salami, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp dried basil
Instructions
- Prepare the bread by slicing the large round Italian loaf in half horizontally and brushing with an olive oil mixture.
- Layer fillings starting with turkey ham, followed by salami, mortadella, provolone, mozzarella, and olive salad.
- Assemble and press the sandwich by placing the top half on and wrapping it tightly, chilling it for at least 2 hours.
- Slice and serve, optionally heating for enhanced flavor.
Notes
For best results, allow the sandwich to chill overnight before serving.
