Description

Indulging in Greek Chicken Wraps with Tzatziki Sauce is like taking a mouthwatering journey to the Mediterranean.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breasts or thighs, sliced into strips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • ½ cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 pita breads or flatbreads
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup diced cucumber
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat your skillet over medium heat, adding a drizzle of olive oil. In a bowl, toss the sliced chicken with the olive oil, paprika, oregano, and season generously with salt and pepper. Once the pan is hot, add the chicken strips. Cook for about 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice golden color.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the Greek yogurt with the grated cucumber, ensuring it’s well-drained. Add the lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped dill, and season with salt and pepper. Stir everything together until it forms a smooth sauce.
  3. Wrap your pita or flatbreads in a towel and place them in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds until they are warm and pliable.
  4. Take each warmed pita and lay it flat. Add a portion of cooked chicken, followed by cherry tomatoes, diced cucumbers, sliced red onions, crumbled feta, and a dollop of tzatziki sauce. Fold and wrap tightly.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Store any leftover tzatziki in the fridge for up to three days.
