Description
Garlic Butter Lamb Chops are the perfect culinary delight that combines incredible flavor with simplicity in preparation.
Ingredients
Scale
- 5 lamb loin chops
- 2 tbsp melted butter (or ghee)
- 1 tsp chopped fresh thyme
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
Instructions
- Start by removing the lamb chops from the refrigerator and letting them sit at room temperature for about 20–30 minutes.
- Once the lamb chops have reached room temperature and are patted dry, it’s time to season them generously.
- Heat a dry skillet over medium-high heat until it’s hot. Place the lamb chops upright on their fat edge and let them sear for about 5 minutes.
- After the fat side is beautifully seared, lay the chops flat in the skillet. Cook for 3 minutes on each side until nicely browned.
- Once the chops are browned, lower the heat to medium-low. Carefully spoon out any excess fat from the skillet, keeping just a thin layer.
- Once finished, transfer the seared lamb chops to a plate and pour the remaining garlic thyme butter over them.
Notes
For best results, use fresh herbs rather than dried for a more vibrant flavor.
