Description
Sweet Chili Glazed Shrimp Bites with Garlic Dip are your new go-to for gatherings, parties, or even a simple weeknight treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped cilantro or green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, red pepper flakes if desired, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Whisk these ingredients together until well mixed.
- Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl with the marinade. Toss them well to ensure each shrimp is coated in the flavorful mixture. Let the shrimp marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 30 minutes if you have the time.
- Heat your skillet or grill over medium-high heat. If your pan is not non-stick, drizzle a little olive oil to prevent sticking. When the pan is hot, carefully add the marinated shrimp in a single layer. Cook them for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
- While the shrimp is cooking, you can prepare the garlic dip. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sour cream, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Notes
Ensure that the shrimp are fully thawed if using frozen shrimp to achieve even cooking.
